A Timeless Summer Wedding at the Voewood, Norfolk

When it comes to planning a wedding, the setting is everything. A location that combines natural beauty, historic charm, and an air of romance can elevate any celebration. The Voewood in Norfolk offers just that—a stunning venue where timeless elegance meets nature’s breathtaking backdrop. From its towering trees to its beautiful architecture, the Voewood provides the perfect setting for a summer wedding.

Josh and Jess were searching for the perfect venue in Norfolk, a place that holds a special place in their hearts, as it’s where they love to holiday and share cherished memories. Having attended a wedding as guests at Voewood, we suggested a visit to see if it was the ideal spot for their own celebration, and we were overjoyed when they decided to book it.

Their day unfolded with a beautiful outdoor ceremony, followed by tacos and tequila at the drinks reception, a talented saxophonist, and plenty of dancing. The atmosphere was exactly what they had envisioned. Jess looked absolutely radiant in a stunning, handmade gown by Susanna Greening, while Josh donned a classic black-tie look—timeless and elegant.

For the decor, we crafted a breathtaking tablescape featuring florals from Lilly Jayne Florist, soft candlelight, and modern stationery. The design embraced a clean aesthetic, with a neutral palette of stones and oats, creating a sophisticated and harmonious vibe throughout the venue.

The photography from Luis Holden was stunning and captured they exactly as it played out. What a pleasure it was to work with Josh + Jess and their gorgeous son, Ellery. We hold happy memories of this warm, sunny day last summer.
